This website has lots of downloadable resources to help you with your campaign activities - this is a brief guide to what's where.
Photocopy kit: Designed to be printed off and photocopied, it includes:
- fact sheets on the dangers of smoking and the benefits of stopping
- a "quit buddy" contact form and suggestions for writing a "smoker's diary" to help plan a quit attempt and stop successfully
- facts and figures on the history of tobacco use, and a ready reckoner table to show smokers how much they could save
- word puzzles and quizzes and more! And there are Welsh versions too ...
Information in other languages: Downloadable sheets with brief information and advice on stopping smoking in 16 community languages, plus English and Welsh.
School Resources: Lesson plans for use in secondary schools at KS3 (11-14) and KS4 (14-16). PowerPoint presentations and worksheets included, available in English.
A workbook has also been created by Lorraine England of the British Forces Clinic and British Forces School. This workbook has been developed for use with children and young people and is designed around a series of classroom based activities to raise their awareness of the health hazards associated with smoking.
