Organiser of the Year Awards 2008

No Smoking Day 2008 has been an overwhelming success! Without your hard work the campaign could not continue to help as many smokers as it did and we want to send a huge thank you to everyone involved.
The Organiser of the Year Awards are now open so get thinking about which categories you want to enter. You can nominate yourself, your team or a colleague and can enter as many categories as you want.
You can win a £50 worth of No Smoking Day vouchers to spend on 2009 No Smoking Day materials and a limited edition pin badge!
The categories are:
- Achievement in the local media
- Best activity on a small budget (under £100)
- Best Armed Forces activity
- Best community/local partnership activity
- Best education setting activity
- Best homemade prop
- Best photo
- Best use of a health (GPs, dentists, health centre, etc) setting
- Best use of a pharmacy setting
- Best use of local MPs or celebrities
- Best use of the 2008 ‘The Great No Smoking Day – Can you last a week?’ theme
- Best workplace activity
- Most unusual/innovative event
- Newcomer of the year
- Best use of a ‘Big Cig’ costume – winner of this category will receive £50 of GASP vouchers
The closing date for the awards has been extended to Thursday 31st July and the winners will be announced in November at the 2009 campaign launches.
The winners will receive a certificate, a limited edition No Smoking Day pin badge and a voucher for £50 to spend on 2009 materials. The winner of the ‘Best use of a ‘Big Cig’ costume’ award will receive £50 of GASP vouchers, kindly donated by GASP Smokefree Solutions, instead of No Smoking Day voucher.
